China and India is becoming too costly for software outsourcing. Vietnam had the labor pool but not yet the recognition nor proper training. With Silicon Valley backing, the idea was to launch an internationally recognizable company that prospective clients would feel confident about, and at a lower cost-basis. Vietnam wasn't exactly known as the harbinger of technological prowess. Well this is now changing. They're setting themselves up to compete with the likes of big outsourcing names such as Infosys, Accenture and Wipro. Run by a big Silicon Valley investor from India, Infonam is on their way to becoming a leader in Vietnam's technology outsourcing for global clients. In fact, they have just recently been folded into Dallas-based Terralogic.
